SEN Teaching Assistant – Ealing – Immediate Start
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Ealing is seeking a patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting a young learner’s communication, emotional development, and access to learning in a nurturing school environment.

The school is looking for someone with experience working with children with ASD, who can provide consistent and structured support tailored to the individual needs of the pupil.

Role Details:

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – Year 1)
• Location: Ealing
• Start Date: Immediate
• Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term
• Salary: £102 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 with ASD.
• Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
• Adapt learning activities and classroom routines to meet the child’s individual needs.
• Help the child access the curriculum and engage positively in school life.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
• Promote consistency, routine, and positive behaviour management strategies.
• Track progress and contribute to personalised learning and support plans.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school or similar setting.
• A calm, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with young children.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A flexible, patient, and understanding mindset.
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
