SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist All-Through Provision – Newham

Role Overview: 

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant 

• Location: Newham 

• Interview Date: Immediate 

• Contract: Full-Time / Permanent 

• Salary: £102 – £115 per day (Dependent on experience) 

 
We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient SEN Teaching Assistant who: 

• Has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. 

• Is confident working across primary and secondary age groups in a specialist setting. 

• Can build strong relationships with students, providing tailored support to help them access learning. 

• Works well as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff. 

• Has excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting student development. 

 
Your Responsibilities: 

• Provide one-to-one and small group support, adapting learning materials to meet individual needs. 

• Assist in implementing EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies. 

• Support students in developing communication, independence, and life skills. 

• Work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure consistent and effective support. 

• Help create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
