SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Haringey – Immediate Start 
Pertemps Education is looking for a caring and committed SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Haringey, supporting students with special educational needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children overcome learning barriers, providing tailored support to ensure they fully engage with the curriculum. 

Location: Haringey 
Pay: £90-£100 per day 
Start Date: November 
Interview Date: ASAP 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide 1:1 tailored support to a student with special educational needs. 

• Help the student stay focused and actively participate in lessons. 

• Work closely with the class teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials as needed. 

• Promote the student’s social and emotional development, boosting their confidence and independence. 

• Monitor the student’s progress and share updates with the class teacher and SENCO. 

• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for the student. 

 
Qualifications and Skills: 

• Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a 1:1 setting. 

• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build a strong rapport with the student. 

• Knowledge of SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or sensory impairments. 

• Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols. 

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and parents.
