KS1/KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant – Camden

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Camden is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role involves working closely with pupils in KS1 or KS2, offering essential one-to-one and small group support to help them grow both academically and emotionally.

Position Overview:

• Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Camden, North London
• Year Group: KS1 or KS2 (dependent on experience and school needs)
• Start: Immediate interviews available
• Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
• Pay: £102 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)

What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children with SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, ADHD, or other complex learning difficulties.
• Demonstrates empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
• Can provide one-to-one and small group support to boost engagement and learning.
• Works effectively within a collaborative team of teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists.
• Is proactive, positive, and committed to fostering confidence and independence in every child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored support to individual pupils, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
• Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and adapting classroom activities to meet diverse needs.
• Encourage positive social interactions, emotional well-being, and good behaviour.
• Support the class teacher in maintaining an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Contribute actively to the school’s community ethos with a flexible and enthusiastic approach.
