Strong Teaching Assistant for Intervention (Year 4/5) – SEMH School in Hackney

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs? We are seeking a dedicated and strong Teaching Assistant for Intervention to join our SEMH school in Hackney, focusing on supporting Year 4 and 5 students.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted intervention support to students in Year 4 and 5, focusing on social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of intervention programs tailored to individual student needs.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where students feel valued and supported.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and adapt interventions as necessary.
  • Support students in developing essential social skills and coping strategies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement and motivation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting, preferably in an SEMH context.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies to support SEMH students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the development of students with diverse needs.
